The CC & JT Amateur Hour Podcast – Now Live!

My appearance on the CC & JT Amateur Hour Podcast dropped today!

Conceived and presented from Carson City, Nevada by authors JT Hume and Cassidy Carson, the podcast’s mission is to “let writers write.” They started their award-winning author podcast during lockdown, and are very supportive and friendly – and also patient, as I suffered a couple of tech and not-so-tech difficulties just before the podcast started. You can read my previous blog to find out more about my general incompetence.

Once the blog started, we discussed a wide range of issues, from Covid to world travel to the writing process, and then Cassidy asked me their trademark seven questions, including:

  • What was your “I am a real honest-to-goodness writer” moment?
  • What do you dread about writing?
  • Would you recommend “the writing life” to a loved one?
  • What’s something unexpected in your past that we won’t see in your bio?

If you’re curious to hear my answers (the last one might surprise you!) you can listen the episode on Spotify and YouTube.

The podcast also gives a great insight into the inspiration behind stories like my short fiction piece, Life in Shadows, about two writers at opposite ends of their careers. We even touch on how my travels inspired my Hong Kong-set thriller, Do Not Keep Silent.

Thanks again to Cassidy and JT for having me on. If you enjoy conversations about writing, stories, and a few unexpected detours, give it a listen and let me know what you think.
